Biography

Tina Christiansen completed her Master's Degree with top marks in 2011 at The Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus, Denmark. Her teacher was Professor Ulrik Spang-Hanssen. Besides the studies in Aarhus Tina has also studied at Malmö Academy of Music in Sweden in the class of Anders Johnsson.

Tina has participated in competitions both at home and abroad, and she has been awarded the 1st Prize in Southern Danish Talent Competition 2006 and 3rd prize in the fourth Feliks Nowowiejski Organ Competition 2010 in Poland.  In 2010, she won the Academy's Soloist Competition in Aarhus and appeared as soloist with The Prince's Music Corps. 

Ms Christiansen has performed all over the European Union, including in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, the Faroe Islands, Poland, Germany, Austria, The Netherlands and England. In 2017 she performed in St Paul’s Cathedral in London and was the closing performer at the 2017 London Organ Day. She has also given the premiere performance of many organ works, including works by Anders Koppel, Niels Marthinsen, Rasmus Zwicki, Erik Højsgaard, Lars Kristian Hansen, Tróndur Bogason and Indra Rise.

In addition to the organ, Tina plays the harpsichord and has as a continuo player participated in several major oratorios with Aarhus Bach Society, CD recordings with Aarhus Symphony Orchestra and Randers Chamber Orchestra and concerts with Odense Symphony Orchestra, South Jutland Symphony Orchestra, Ensemble Zimmermann and The Danish Youth Ensemble.

Tina is organist and director of music at Ansgar's Church in Odense, Denmark.
